Authors: Professor Daryl Higgins
In this article, Professor Daryl Higgins, Director of the ACU Institute of Child Protection Studies, highlights the need for organisational leaders to respond accordingly to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, in order to maximise the opportunity for sustainable change. Professor Higgins discusses that the work of the Royal Commission should be considered a gift, providing the motivation to ensure organisations have acknowledged and learned lessons from the past, while also implementing strategies to bring about the necessary safeguarding revolution within organisations.
