Creating cultures of respect, safety and belonging is central to the mission of Catholic schools. Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE) helps children and young people develop the knowledge, language and skills to understand dignity, boundaries, consent, healthy relationships and help-seeking.
Created for Respectful Relationships brings contemporary safeguarding research into dialogue with Catholic theology and Scripture, helping educators understand CRRE not simply as curriculum or compliance, but as an expression of the mission of Catholic education.
Developed by subject matter experts in theology and child safeguarding, these resources provide a theological foundation and practical guidance to support Catholic school communities in building staff capability and confidence through ongoing formation, professional learning and shared reflection.
Together, the resources invite schools to consider a deeper question:

The Victorian Catholic Education Authority with funds from the Commonwealth Government’s Consent and Respectful Relationships Education funding commissioned Australian Catholic University to undertake this project.
